Maci is a 1-year-old Goldendoodle in Trumbull, CT, who needs $2,000 for surgery and hospitalization for an intestinal blockage.

Maci is an incredible member of our family, and already in her young life has helped us through more hard times than we will ever be able to thank her for. We adopted her from 8 weeks old and she has been with myself, wife and or teenage son for every minute of her life. She comforts and entertains us any moment of any day with an uncanny sense to react appropriately to whatever is happening in her family - sadness, joy, rest, exuberance. She has that incredible, patient and caring temperament that we want to take credit for - but she came to us with her own unique personality that extends past our family and can be felt by anyone in her presence. Each and every day she comes with us to a local dog park where she is welcomed by every dog - anxious, large, loud, tired, overly excited - every type. She lives to play with other dogs and can't stand to not introduce herself to each and every one she meets. Amazingly, she adjusts her play (or not p;lay) based on the personality of the dog she meets - if its a shy puppy, she lies down and pokes it with her nose until it warms up. Large dog that wants something to chase? She'll give that dog a ball and something (very fast!) to chase. Beyond our family, she's kind and gentle to every stranger she meets - even the small children.
