Maddie has been a survivor. She was born with FPV and was the only one of the litter to survive. This left her with hip issues and impaired vision, I adopted her anyway. I think since her vision is off, it has made her a jumpy little cat. 2 years ago she had dental surgery and most all of her teeth were removed.

She's has been acting strangely for a month and a half, hiding in corners and then not eating. The last 6 weeks, she's been more off than on. 5 days ago she wasn't in my face when the alarm went off, I found her crouched in a corner and burning up with a fever. The vets office, St. Johns Veterinary Hospital FL saw her that day and recommended extensive testing soon or she would need to go down.

I've called her my special baby her whole life, she's so sweet. She has this routine of going to the patio door to let me know it needs to be open and then going to her dish to let me know food needs to be put in it and if there's no food in the dish, she'll circle the island a couple of times and then shoot me a look, lol.

My business slowly tapered off, so I got a part time job. There were car and teeth repairs, before I knew it there was no emergency fund. I tried the roommate thing so I could build it up but didn't work so paying all living expenses, with little to go to an emergency fund.
