About this campaign
Rehomed Madison when she was 4.5 mo old from a family that could not keep her. She has been my sidekick ever since. She loves getting treats at the bank window and shredding the mail as it comes through the slot. She is the absolute sweetest animal and brings me so much comfort. My house has been empty without her, and I want her to come home again!
Madison loves anyone that isn’t delivering mail or packages to her house. She adores her same size, same age, cousin, ( my sister’s dog), and it’s so entertaining watching them interact with each other. She also adores her human extended family very much, and has many praying for her right now. She was jogging up and down her street a few weeks ago, and I so want that for her again.
Madison will talk to me when she wants my attention. She looks up, and with a howling motion, gives me a Whoo Whoo Whoo! She has fallen asleep with her head on the mail basket many a day, patiently waiting in hopes of getting a mail carrier’s finger tip as a souvenir. The mail slot is just above the basket. It doesn’t even phase our mailman anymore, he knows she will be on the receiving end.
Madison was diagnosed with stage 1 kidney disease in Sept of this year. Early last week she took a sudden turn for the worse and I’m told that she’s having an acute Kidney failure episode that evidently is common with kidney disease no matter what stage it’s in! She was admitted to Webster Grove Animal hospital on 12-26. Kidney counts moving in right direction but still won’t eat on her own.
I have had very little work this year, as the company I work for is extremely slow right now. I also had 2 major unexpected house repairs hit me this Spring. One water, the other fire. Repairs surpassing $10,000. Then Madison’s medical bills up until this point.
