Madrone is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Memphis, TN, who needs $2,000 for FHO Surgery.

Madrone was originally a stray that Millie sneakily let into the house and started feeding. I attempted to send him back outdoors, but it was incredibly cold and between how happy he looked indoors, and how sad she looked with him potentially go back outdoors, I gave up pretty quickly.

As Madrone transition to an indoor cat, he did well with everything except litter training. Unfortunately, Millie let him outside to potty, and he was attacked by 5 dogs, resulting in a broken femur that needs surgery.

Madrone and Millie are quite literally the best of friends, they play together, sleep together, sneak treats from the kitchen together. He is the most loving person that’s ever been in our house, and has really encouraged and taught Millie how to be responsible for someone who needs to be cared for.

Unfortunately, Madrone had not made it to his initial vet visit to be assessed and added to our pet insurance policy prior to his injuries. We initially thought he was gone, as immediately after I ran the dogs off during the attack, we didn’t see him for 5 days.
