Maggie is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu in Cape Coral, FL, who needs $2,000 for Aggressive Heart Worm Treatment.

Two ShihTzu's were turned into a local shelter after hurricane Ian. They had wandered for months. I filled out the application. The shelter did the unspeakable and separated them. I was only able to locate Maggie. Since then, Maggie has been sick and needed surgery and medical care. Because I'm disabled, I cannot afford the medical bills. I'm asking for assistance for this sweet pup.

Maggie is the most adorable and sweet pup. I take her everywhere with me. and she follows me everywhere. Car rides, shopping and she loves it all. I live alone and she is my best friend, She never lets me out of her sight. I have a dear sweet, best friend.

This sweet pup wandered the streets during a major hurricane for two months and made it out alive. That in itself is a miracle. She sleeps with herself in my path so I can't go far away from her. She has become very attached and is always fearful that I'm going someplace without her. She cries even if i go into the next room.

One month after I adopted her, she was ill and needed surgery to remove tumors. She developed parasites after that which was very hard on her and now, she has heartworms. The medical bills are numerous, and I need help to continue providing her with good health care. I took her to many vets and hopefully I've found a hospital that will care for her.
