Maggie Mae is a 2-year-old American Pitbull Terrier in Cleveland, OH, who needs $1,900 for luxating patella and torn ACL's one in each leg.

My story starts 2 years ago after picking up the ashes from my previous pet of 13 years I knew I needed a new baby so I went to the APL (shelter) and I met the most beautiful girl a 7week old American Pitbull Terrier well it was love at first sight for both of us this will be the beginning of my journey with my girl "Maggie Mae "

Maggie Mae and I live with Walter Matthau our shelter cat and these 2 are characters and family and friends visit them as although Walter is 8lbs he is the Alfa and Maggie Mae and her 83lbs are submissive lol what a team they even sleep together. I am a senior and I couldn't be more content in my life with these 2.

I am a senior with disabilities I have a very limited income and no savings. I never expected this and I am very concerned Maggie Mae is my emotional support animal and I love her more than words can express. I want her to run and play and continue being a silly girl.

Sadly enough Maggie Mae requires surgery on each of her legs to correct deformed hips and 2 torn ACL's each surgery is between $2200.00 and $2500.080 with 8 week recovery. She will have this surgery done at Porter Pet Hospital by Dr.Liz who has informed me that the surgery needs to be done soon and without it Maggie Mae's quality of life will be poor.

Maggie Mae is a silly girl always filling our home with laughter she seems to be a human in a dogs body and the expressions she makes almost like she is making the punchlines. She will make faces pressing her teeth against her crate while making pitiful sounds if she wants out of the crate to visit with company she hasn't greeted yet.
