About this campaign

For six years, my dad, a senior on a fixed income, and his dog, Maggie MAE, have been inseparable. Last week, he gave her a bone, causing severe diarrhea and an inflamed stomach. She needed urgent care and medication. He had to borrow $2,000 to save her. Any gift, big or small, helps cover her bills and bring him peace of mind.

She was seen at the VCA Animal Clinic in Rohnert Park. X-rays were taken. She was given antibiotics, an appetite suppressant, anti-nausea medication, and pain medication.

She usually sleeps with my dad and often takes his spot on the bed. When he comes into the room, she moves over to her own place. When she’s upset, she goes to her dog bed to rest. She’s very fun, friendly, and affectionate.

Any help would make a big difference for him. He is a senior who currently receives only Social Security benefits, so he lives on a fixed income. He already resides in low-income housing and is barely able to make ends meet as it is.
