About this campaign
I ended up with Maggie and her sister Saddie because I seen someone dump a pillow case in the ditch near my home. I investigated because I saw movement from the pillow case. I took them home and bottle raised them. Maggie has been my emotional support pet ever since. She is always such a happy dog and wants everyone around her to be happy as well. We love her so much.
We currently live on a 9 acre farm on a dead end road, where our closest neighbor is a mile away. On Fiday August 25th she escaped the yard after I was at work. Someone ran her over and took off and left her for dead. I found her on my way home from work when she saw my truck and attempted to crawl out of the ditch they left her in. I rushed her to the local vet and then to a specialist 2 hours away
This silly girl has been with me through some tough times in my life. I had suffered from health problems that limited my mobility as well as mental health problems. She started on her own helping me up stairs and helping me calm down during anxiety attacks. She also lets me know when my blood sugar is bad. She never even had professional training. I feel like she is my guardian angel.
Our local vet wouldn't have been able to save Maggie she sent us to a pet hospital 2 hours away. She has a severely broken leg and a broken pelvis. She has to have surgeries to repair the damage. So far I am taking money out of my retirement plan and emptying my savings account and still don't have enough.
My husband is disabled and I have been trying to fix up a home on our property to give my mom so she doesn't become homeless. I have 6 other fur babies that were all abandoned or unwanted over the years. I just don't have these kind of funds or credit.
