About this campaign
While temporarily living in NJ I was missing my (adopted) cats living in AZ. I kept feeling the need to adopt more sheltered cats. I went to a Petsmart on a cat adoption day and was looking for a female kitten. As I was walking along the crates I seen this little tiny kitten snuggled in between 2 other larger kittens (bro/sis) that kept looking at me. So I walked over to that crate and she popped her head up higher like a periscope while the other 2 were sleeping. I slowly walked to the left and she followed me. I walked to the right of the crate and her head movement only changed only in the directions I walked. I asked if I could hold her. While holding and kissing her head she was trembling badly. They told me that because she's a runt she needs to have her bro/sis with her and that "today is your lucky day from this crate as it's a 2 for 1 special". So after a few days of bringing her home and getting settled in we started having our regular checkups at Banfield. I started noticing that she was drooling badly and called local vet down the road due to being a concerned furparent. She had gingivitis very badly. We went through pills first that was difficult to administer. It cleared up and a couple of months later the drooling started again. I then opted for an injection to be done. After that she seemed to be fine. I suffered a brain aneurysm a short time later not knowing it was happening. Maggie would come up to me and start licking near my right eye while I would be laying down. Her brother Ghost kept trying to roll me over with the strength of a bulldozer so that I would lay on my right side. The last day for that to happen I was rushed to the hospital where I should've been dead or permanently paralyzed and disfigured having 3 blood vessels ruptured in my brain on the right side above my eye. She was trying to tell me or help me heal with me not knowing what was going on. Her and Ghost saved my life and I need to help her live a long and happy one. Unfortunately, I could no longer live alone and needed to be transported back to AZ. So, they rode in a large dog crate all the way from NJ to AZ to be with me and their new step-brothers.
