About this campaign
Malak was a stray cat for around 2 years before he was picked up by Specialty Purebred Rescue. We adopted him from the rescue and have loved him since! He's super gentle with his four little human sisters and loves the outdoors! Initially, we tried keeping him indoors but as a stray on the streets he loved being outside, he tried every way to be out, so now he is an indoor outdoor cat.
Sadly, Malak was recently injured; I'm unsure how. Poor thing has wound marks on his paw and is limping. He has had a sedated procedure to clean out the wounds, and medications. He has another deep wound that has been stitched and bandaged and needs more care and frequent bandage changes. His toes are broken. If the wounds don't heal and the infection persists, his leg may need to be amputated.
Malak is a handsome gentleman. He will welcome visitors and loves being petted and sitting in your lap. He's been around the birth of 2 babies and has been super gentle around them even they start walking and accidentally pull his tail! He's truly a special cat. Not much fazes him. He thrives outside, and loves being out.
I want to save his leg and have already done as much as we could. I've spent around $2000 and maxed out my care credit. It has been around 6 weeks now of visits to the vet and hopefully this would be the final stage of his treatment. Any help will be truly truly appreciated.
