Emberly’s Journey: A Mother’s Hope

Mama Emberlee was abandoned while she was heavily pregnant, left to survive on the streets of Texas and give birth on her own. She wandered, searching for food, for safety, or for someone to care.

Then, a kind woman saw her and asked Shelter Free Rescue NY if they could help care for her, and of course, they couldn't refuse. So thankfully, Mama Emberly was able to give birth to 11 puppies with the help of her compassionate caretakers. Tragically, one did not make it. The rescue was then able to provide Emberly with a full checkup and the treatment she needed after giving birth.

The woman who found Mama Emberly is currently fostering her and all of her puppies and giving them a loving and safe home they deserve. However, caring for 11 dogs comes at no small fee. The rescue is supplying their foster care with food, supplies, and medical care, and funds are being stretched thin.

Emberly and her pups have already received their first round of vaccinations, and in April, Emberly will be spayed. The puppies will soon need another round of shots.
