About this campaign
Mango was adopted from a shelter almost a year ago. He is one of three cats in my home. He has been such a joy in my life ever since he entered it . All three of my cats are indoor only and are very well loved and taken care of. I truly cannot imagine a life without him in it.
About a month ago Mango knocked over a glass bowl and landed on it, which resulted in a severed artery. He was rushed to the emergency vet (Madison veterinarian er) and they stated he wouldn’t have made it through the night if he hadn’t been brought in. About a week ago Mango started limping again. Our primary vet (family pet health care) stated he needs patellar luxation surgery to fix his leg.
Mango is the baby of the family. He is the youngest of 3. He is a very shy guy but always sticks by my side. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Ever since his accident he has been even more scared of loud noises and sudden movements. Having to imagine a life without him has been one of the hardest things i’ve had to do. Without knee or amputation surgery the vet has recommended euthanasia.
I’m 21 and currently 37 weeks pregnant with my first child and will be a single mother. I would do absolutely anything for my cats. His recent surgery, which was over 1 thousand dollars, has taken a large financial toll on me. I have ran out of all resources and assistance.
