About this campaign

Christina D. and her family were devastated when they learned their beloved dog, Mango, had stage three melanoma. "The mass started in her cheek and spread to her lymph node," Christina tells Waggle.

With her giant size and gentle spirit, Mango is the center of her family. "She has four human siblings and a kitten sister who loves her. If you look up "gentle giant" in the dictionary, you’ll find a picture of Mango. Friendly to all animals and humans is an understatement," Christina says.

Mango needs surgery to remove the cancer and radiation therapy at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego. Though the treatment will cost Christina's family thousands of dollars, Mango's prognosis is good. They are hoping generous pet lovers donate to help. "She’s still so young," Christina adds. "We need to do everything we can to save our girl."
