About this campaign
She deserved more than to be given up on. This sweet senior girl, now named Maple Anne, was found huddled outside the door of a public works office and taken to Missouri City Animal Shelter. When shelter staff told CAMO Rescue she wasn't eating, they knew they had to give her a chance.
As they prepared her for transport, an animal control officer took one more look and made a heartbreaking discovery. Her tongue was necrotic, and when they gently opened her mouth, a large piece of it detached. They asked if they should euthanize her.
CAMO immediately said no.
She deserves the opportunity to be evaluated, to have her pain treated, and to know that someone is willing to fight for her. She's now on her way to their veterinarian, where they'll learn what's causing this devastating condition and whether treatment is possible. They don't know what the outcome will be, but they couldn't let her story end without trying.
CAMO Rescue is asking for your help to give this sweet girl the second chance she deserves. Your donation will help cover her emergency examination, diagnostics, pain management, and any treatment that may be available. Every dollar helps them continue saying "yes" to animals like Maple Anne, even when the road ahead is uncertain.
Please consider donating today. Together, we can make sure this gentle soul knows compassion, comfort, and love—no matter what tomorrow brings.
