About this campaign

We adopted Maple from a shelter when she was 14 weeks old and she is now a very playful and loving 5 month old kitten. Our kids absolutely adore her and spoil her rotten. Just like any other kitten she is very playful and curious. She keeps us on our toes and loves to snuggle. We also have another kitten from a different litter but who is so attached to her you would have never known.

Earlier this week Maple started vomiting and not eating with decreased activity. Took her to vet and an xray showed a possible blockage but it was tough to tell. They gave her medicine to stop the vomiting and told us to monitor her. She continued to vomit an not eat. She is now in the care of the Sutton Animal Hospital getting fluids and is being considered for emergency surgery.

Maple brings so much joy to my 4 year daughter and 8 year old son. She finds ways to melt your heart and make you laugh even on a bad day. She is a great snuggler and just a huge part of our family.

This is a tough unexpected financial burden. I am self employed and currently on my winter off season which means I am not being paid. Having 2 young kids in school/ daycare and with only 1 parent working through the winter.
