Marcela was out of time and set to be euthanized at BARC in Texas due to having heartworm—a treatable condition. Thankfully, Shelter Free Rescue NY couldn’t let her story end there. They tagged her with only moments to spare.

Now, Marcela is safe in foster care, finally getting the love she always deserved. Her treatment plan includes 30 days of doxycycline and is scheduled for her first heartworm injection on March 31st. But her treatment is expensive, and they need your help to get her through it.
