Meet Margarita: A Tiny Fighter with a Huge Heart

This sweet cat named Margarita was horrifically thrown outside by it's owner and cried outside their home for 3 long weeks. She rapidly began losing fur and weight and had to find cover for herself during storms in the area the past couple of weeks. When Castaway Critters was contacted, they quickly threw a crew together for an emergency extraction.

What's worse is that this is a special needs cat who has already endured serious trauma as a kitten. She was born in a barn, and the mother cat had chewed Margarita's back left paw off, leaving her with an untreated and exposed wound. Upon intake, she weighed in at a devastatingly 4.3 pounds.

Before Castaway Critters saved her, poor Margarita had never been inside a veterinary office, which means no proper medical care, vaccinations, and has not been spayed. Margarita, or any other cats, do not deserve this kind of neglect and abuse. The crew of Castaway Critters sat in the ER with her to save her life. Who knows how much time she had left.

Margarita has found her way to her foster home, where she gets to lie in a big, cozy bed all day and gets tons of love and pets! ☀️🛏❤️She will soon be available for adoption!
