Mariah is a 6-year-old Pitbull in Big Indian, NY, who needs $300 for Bloodwork & dermatology (testing her mole/mass areas) & treating her seizures.

I lost my white Beagle Nov 2019 due to congestive heart failure, I was broken! My son & I decided to Just "look" at the dogs during the local SPCA's Family adoption day. I saw Mariah on their page & knew she was the one right away, we got there & when I asked to see her they were shocked, she had been adopted a year prior & just came back a week earlier after living through a nightmare when gone!

Mariah had been attacked after adoption by multiple dogs, leaving scars all over, esp the neck. She also had came back to the shelter with a large Mass Cell Tumor on her back-end which they removed that week. She got attacked in the shelter when they put another dog in her cage on top of all else, poor thing has PTSD terrible & attachment disorder but she can not be more loving & affectionate!

I am 40 & have a severe autoimmune disease along with a neuro-muscular disorder making even walking difficult some days, I have a pending SSD case but while waiting money is tight , I took her 3 weeks ago to the vet but could not afford all the tests she needed & deserves!

Mariah has swallowing issues I believe from the attacks but unsure, her tumor they removed from her back end is starting to grow back & the area is turning a black color like a mole along with other areas on her body. She just recently started having mini seizures - last nights was terrifying.She also may have lime disease as I found a couple ticks before using vet chewable but she needs testing!

Looking at her I can not imagine what she has been through, I/we believe she was adopted to be forced into fighting or at least to be used as bait. She has scars inside & out yet she only cares about others, if I cry, she comes right over & rolls over letting me pet her belly to cheer me up lol. She is amazing & is great with kids & although jealous, does very well with other dogs considering!
