Our family had two cats when we live in Ukraine before immigration to US. I can't afford to have a pet e in US and this is first pet for my life here. I've presented Marik from my friends when he was 2 moths old. I was thankful to God for this to tears. I really love pets and would like to give hem special names. Marik in Russian language can be interpreted as a " Small Marquis". Marik likes to be often outdoor. When he turned 4 months he came home with few bites in his body. After few days it looked like Marik got healed. But after another couple days he started to breath very heavy. The doctor diagnosed a lot of pus around lungs because of infection made with deep bite (supposedly by raccoon) through the chest. Because the treatment would cost a few thousand dollars, the doctor offered to put Marik down. I couldn't let it be because Marik is not bad or old cat. I've decided to use antibiotics. After two days there was no changes and I brought him to ER. They deflated 150 gm of pus from around lungs area and could not to deflate chunky pieces around left lung. After 3 weeks the recheck showed no chunks around lungs but the left one is twice bigger in size compare to right one. Marik fills better but still has not normal breathing, and doctor said that in worse scenario Marik will need to remove the lung. At this point, doctor ordered to use second round of antibiotics and recheck Marik in two weeks.
