Marlee was a rescue twice. The 1st home was abusing him the second was from one of 6 dogs. He is a beautiful long haired dachshund and Chihuahua mix. It takes him a while to warm up to people, and he barks a lot.

When we rescued him, we noticed he was having seizures, stiffened up and shaking so we started him on seizure medicine. Then, after few years, he kept urinating on the floor when we took him to the vet we found out he is a diabetic He’s been on his shots for over a year, but now he’s losing his eyesight. Marlee has an older sister Sophie. Who also is her rescue. She as well has seizures, and due to abandonment has hip problems. Marley and Sophie do everything together and hate when we separate them for even for vet appointments. Sophie uses a wheelchair at times and Marlee got her to run in it and chase him around the yard. Marlee just this year started playing with his many stuffed animals.

Me Marlee’s mom, I had a neck fusion C5, 6, 7 in August and it’s taking me out of work. I need to have my gallbladder out, which means I will not be able to return to one of my part-time jobs. I work every other weekend 8 to 10 hours. And rely on my husband Social Security.
