About this campaign
Marley is a 13-year-old chihuahua-beagle mix who has been my loyal companion since college. She was rescued from a kill shelter in North Carolina, transported to Virginia, and posted for adoption online. I adopted her as an impulse decision after moving into my first apartment during my junior year of college, and she quickly became my best friend. We currently live California.
Marley is showing early signs of congestive heart failure. Alameda Animal Hospital recommended that she see a veterinary cardiologist for further evaluation at VCVA. The cardiologist will perform a blood pressure check, echocardiogram, and other diagnostic testing to determine the best treatment plan and appropriate medications to help manage her condition and keep her comfortable.
Marley is a 13-year-old chihuahua-beagle mix with the sweetest, calmest spirit. She rarely barks, loves belly rubs, and is the perfect apartment companion. She’s my emotional support animal and has comforted many foster youth I work with as a therapist intern. Her gentle, loving presence brings peace to everyone she meets.
I’ve already used credit to cover Marley’s past emergencies and can’t afford her cardiac care now. She’s my emotional support dog and my calm through life’s challenges. Having her healthy again would mean everything — she’s family and my heart.
