About this campaign
Marley was rescued at 3 months old from Riverside County Animal Shelter, weighing only 5 lbs. Now 3 years old and 70 lbs, she has a herniated disc causing intermittent paralysis. Her vet warns that if she loses leg function again, she’ll need emergency spinal surgery within 24 hours or risk permanent damage. We’re raising funds for her MRI and surgery.
Marley was diagnosed with a compressed herniated disc that’s causing nerve damage in her lower spine. She’s currently on medication and strict activity restriction, but her condition is worsening. She needs an MRI to confirm the severity and location of the damage and likely spinal surgery to relieve pressure. She is under the care of VCA Animal Medical Center, San Marcos, California.
Marley is more than a pet—she’s family. She’s a joyful, high-energy girl who loves people, especially men, and is deeply bonded to her doggie daycare friends and caretakers. Her favorite things are car rides, tennis balls, and Chick-fil-A nuggets. She brings so much light into our lives and is loved by everyone who knows her.
Marley’s unexpected spinal condition has left us overwhelmed emotionally and financially. We’ve already tried everything we can. Getting her the surgery she needs would mean the world to us and give her a real chance to run, play, and live pain-free again.
