About this campaign

Marnie, our 7-year-old dog, is more than a pet—she’s one of our children. Gifted to Kenzie after her heart dog Sam passed, she helped heal a broken heart. Marnie lives with us and her two dog brothers, using her “hands” like a human. She never leaves Kenzie’s side, offering endless love, loyalty, and comfort.

Marnie was attacked by a predator early this morning in our backyard, causing trauma to her chest and neck. She required emergency surgery, including a chest tube, flushing of neck wounds, IV antibiotics, and monitoring. She’s in the hospital under care, with a cautiously optimistic outlook and a 4-6 week recovery.

Marnie adores her brothers Russel and Mowgli and has a special love for kids and babies. She walks on her back legs, loves puddles, soft grass, and Easter egg hunts. She gazes into our eyes with love, plays ball and with Sam’s old squeaky toys, and even loves wearing pants! She is truly part of our family.

The $18,000 estimated cost for Marnie’s emergency care is more than we can handle alone. Any support would help bring her back to health and ease this heavy burden. It means everything to us to see her happy, healthy, and home where she belongs.
