Marshmallow is a 12-year-old Ragdoll in Cocoa, FL, who needs $450 for UTI treatment and teeth cleaning.

Marshmallow entered our lives in January 2019. This beautiful ragdoll was set out to roam without food or shelter. She was brought to my attention and we had to rescue her. Marshmallow shares her home with two Russian Blue Brothers, Rinc and Thaddeus. Marshmallow loves to view her kingdom from a high perch. Surprisingly, Marshie is still playful, often chasing toy mice around the house.

Marshmallow is mom's cat. At the end of the day, when mom finally sits down for the night, Marshmallow will jump up on the sofa beside me. She starts out with a tiny bit of her paws on my lap, then gradually moves to her front paws being on my lap, to finally climbing up on my lap completely. She loves to be pet and brushed this time of night.

I am a single mom, disabled, and unable to work. I had held out hope of another round of economic stimulus to allow me to get Marshmallow the care she needs, but that does not look like it will happen soon. I know she has to be tired of being in pain.

My Marshie has had a chronic UTI since March 2020. I have taken her to two vets and given her three rounds of antibiotics, but the UTI keeps coming back. My poor girl cannot use the litter box. Rockledge Animal Clinic says she has bladder stones, which is something common in aging cats. Marshmallow now requires a urine culture as well as needs her teeth cleaned (those that she has left).

Marshmallow is the queen bee in the house. How her tail curls up adds to her royal carriage. She is getting very vocal now, often louder than her brothers. Marshmallow loves to be out on the screen porch viewing the wild peacocks that roam our neighborhood. Marshmallow is loving and has bonded with the only female human in the house.
