About this campaign

My daughter lost her heart hound in June of 2024. We quickly learned her love of dogs ran deep just like her mamas. By Thanksgiving we had talked Dad into letting us adopt a new fur baby. Leona saw a picture of "Bread" and was determined that was her dog. We went and picked her up from Felines and Canines in Chicago the Saturday after Thanksgiving. She has been loved everyday since.

In May we brought home a big sister, due to a rehoming with the breeder of our previous heart hound. Marshmellow and Nessie instantly bonded. On the evening of Sunday July 6th, they were playing as usual when Mellow went to do a fake out. Nessie was standing on that back paw, as her body went the other way. Snap. She was rushed to VEG, then received surgery at UW Madison on 7/9.

Marshmellow is a friend of anyone she meets. She likes to talk. She loves to snuggle. She loves her human brother and sister immensely. She loves walks, the dog park and food. We are really hoping she makes a full recovery.

My husband has been self employed for almost 10 years. He found out he has arthritis in his ankle which has made getting on a ladder more difficult. He starts a new job in August and the transition time has been difficult.
