About this campaign
Mary is the black and white kitty in the photo. I took her in from a coworker which was supposed to be temporary. However, she could not get her the medical help that I saw she needed so I decided to adopt her. She needed some dental work done which I did do for her. It turned out that after the dental it was discovered she actually needed more dental work done, and I can't afford the next one.
As you can see, Mary loves to snuggle with the black cat, his name is Sylar. They have bonded and I don't know what he would do without her around if she became too ill for me to care for. She waits for me to go to bed so she can sleep above my pillow. She loves to be pet and likes to lay near my guinea pigs. She is an important part of the family.
Because of COVID-19 I cannot afford for Mary to have this procedure done. She is in pain every day it makes me sad to see her this way. It would mean the world to me to see her free of pain for once that I have been able to have her.
It seems that Mary's gums have started to see her teeth as a disease. This means that her gums are rejecting her teeth, thinking they are a foreign body that needs to be removed. This is why she needs another dental done, to remove the problem teeth. This would be done at Biddeford Animal Hospital by Dr. Spader.
I love that Mary waits for me to go to bed before she comes in and joins me. She doesn't like to lay alone and if I leave the room she will meow for me. She likes to share her food with Sylar and loves to go lay with him. When she is hungry she scratches my head in the morning to wake me up so I can feed her!
