About this campaign
Massimo is a spunky little Brussels Griffon with a rare, smooth long Chestnut coat. He has Dr. Seuss-esque furry paws, an adorable grin, and a Griffon-signature grumpy pout. Massimo was rescued 5 years ago from a poor living situation that negatively affected his digestion and skin health. He was able to make a full recovery after a few months in our home and has been so adored by his family.
Massimo is a Grade-A cuddler and will be at your ankles no matter where you go. He loves nibbles of cheese and blueberries. He loves walks through Little Italy and paddleboarding on the Bay. He rides on the front of the paddleboard like the littlest captain in his big puffy lifejacket.
Massimo squeaks whenever he yawns and when he's excited, he drops down on his belly and will stretch out his arms and legs as far as possible and motion swimming. When something catches his eye in the distance, he'll pop up on his two hind legs and walk around like a little prairie dog. He can do various tricks, including high fives, rollover, dance on high hindlegs, and twirl.
Massimo recently started showing signs of Brachycephalic Airway Obstruction Syndrome (BCOS), which can affect smush-faced dogs. It affects his ability to breathe properly through his nostrils and windpipe. He now has difficulty being active or walking any small distance without becoming so out of breath. His vet reccommends a procedure to open up his airway.
Massimo is our dearest little guy. We want him to be able to breathe well again and enjoy walks and playtime. Financial assistance to help cover the surgery cost would be immensely helpful to me as I juggle student loan payments and caring for my mother's medical needs.
