I found Matilda in a pile of rubbish. A house had been. Demolished and I found Mattie cat living in the peices of rain gutters in this mess. I wanted a cat at the time so I took her home with me. That was 14 years ago this summer. Matilda has been the only real constant in my life since I found her. When she was young we went everywhere together. She always loved trips to see grandma.

Matilda was diagnosed last summer around the time my mom passed away. I regrettably must admit I didn't notice her decline as fast as I normally would have had I not been trying to deal with the sudden death of my mother. I've been taking Matilda to the Saint Louis cat clinic. They do such a good job taking care of her. Matilda started to loose a bunch of weight so I took her in to get checked out

I am in treatment for complex PTSD Matilda has helped me so much with my recovery it brings me so much pain to see her not well. She's been my emotional support forever she comes to check on me if I get loud or start crying. She just came by it naturally. She's been the only consistent connection in my life. Recovery is hard I owe Matilda my life.
