About this campaign
Mattie and his sister Maggie came to me as kittens in a cardboard box on my porch as a rescue cat. We were known for feeding and helping neighborhood cats.
He lives in a safe home indoors with several other cats. He's very active, curious and a little mischievous but never mean spirited. He loves to be petted but is also very independent. He is very sensitive and can read minds when you need to take him to the vet lol!
Mattie is/was one of our two most athletic cats. Two years ago we found a lump in Matties injection leg which turned out to be cancerous. After consultation with several professionals we made the tough decision to amputate Mattie's leg. After several months Mattie was doing as well as ever! He can still hop in the bed and has returned to some higher places to roam. He's an awesome & happy tripod!
A few weeks ago we discovered another small lump on Mattie's left face. It is identified as a mast cell tumor however we are hoping it's non aggressive. The best course of action is surgery and lab work. We will update if anything like chemo is necessary.
A few months ago I had a stroke and then shortly after had to replace my car and had other steep vet expenses all at the same time. It has been a difficult year but we can pull through with your help!
