Saving Hope Rescue took Maverick and his sibling in knowing they required extra medical attention and care as both were suffering from eyes that were in terrible shape.

The original plan was to treat the eyes with medications until they weighed 2lbs and then to perform surgery. However, Maverick's eye ruptured, had no pressure, and even had a hole in it. Surgery couldn't wait as the situation became an emergency.

Due to their horrendous shape, both eyes had to be removed. Even though Maverick has already suffered so much, he has so much love to give! He is a very sweet kitten who just wants cuddles.

Maverick is ready for his neuter and final vetting needs! He is healing wonderfully. He’s taken to being a cat without sight very well and navigates beautifully! We adore him.
