Maverick is a 2-year-old Poodle in Chubbuck , ID, who needs $1,000 for Splinting a Fractured Left Leg.

Maverick came into our life's before the Holidays when we went into the shelter and he had just had surgery and we took him home to meet the family. He was living in an apartment and as we know with that breed the original owner was unable to keep him. He instantly became best friends with our Doodle Mojito.

Maverick and Mojito love to play outside in our fenced yard. They both come with us everywhere and love to run and get there energy out. Maverick has a very special bond with our teenage son who has disabilities and I believe Maverick has been his Saving Grace.

He is so silly. He jumps around like a kangaroo and it's the funniest thing to watch. He also sits like a very proper gentleman and it's kinda cute. And the funniest thing I believe is when he is playing with our 5 children, he gently bites them on their rear end.

So currently we are at Alpine Animal hospital in Chubbuck Idaho. Thankfully they were able to get him in since it was a little after 5 pm when we got the call that he'd been hit. He has been giving pain medication now and is comfortable they have to do a radiograph with sedation because they believe his left leg is badly fractured at the knuckle. Hoping to splint the leg.

We recently moved into a new home 77 miles from where we had lived so cost were unexpected as the move wasn't what we had wanted but now are thankful for. With 5 kids and the holidays we are just barely getting caught back up.
