Hi everyone! This goofy slobber monster is Maverick James! He was the temporary house guest that stole our hearts (obviously) and then became a permanent honorary dachshund pack member. He's the biggest lovebug who wants to be a lap dog, and so on our laps he gets to sits!

Maverick loves to sleep on his blanket with Mr. Quackers (stuffed ducky) and take beauty naps. If you put his blanket and best friend down, then that's where Maverick is sleeping 😴! He prefers to be by our sides or on our feet at all times. His dachshund brothers and 13 year old rescue sister get jealous of his coat brushing time and ball launcher toy, but don't worry MJ always shares 😉.

Maverick has so much personality. He's goofy, charming, loving, loyal, and full of slobbery kisses! He knows the click of his favorite ball launcher toy and is always down for a walkie. He's always there licking our feet and nudging our hands, giving us the love we didn't know we needed.

When we took Maverick in we were waiting for vet and birth records before getting his next step of medical care. His back left leg has always been triple the size of his others, but that was going to be looked at. However a few months have passed and no proof of any records (or even a vets name) have been given. MJ is at the point where he needs vet attention immediately.

We moved last week across town and added 2 human children to our 4 dog and 1 pregs cat rescue group. MJ was unexpected and unreasonable, but he's here, and we love him. Any help in getting MJ healthy again with his leg and his skin allergy would mean the world!
