About this campaign

Imagine a sweet senior dog, once a loyal companion, surrendered to a shelter at 9 years old in an emaciated condition. Max was saved by foster care after reaching his euthanasia deadline. Max is doing well but has been overlooked by adopters and rescues and is still longing for a fur-ever home. He is now in need of extensive dental care, which is yet one more hurdle he will face for adoption.

Max's foster family paid to have him seen by Vets in Vans out of concern for his teeth; He has broken canines, dead, and discolored teeth and has been rubbing his mouth. He was diagnosed with Periodontal and Dental Disease grade 4/4, requiring extractions. If left untreated, the disease can lead to more serious health complications. We paid for his blood work and he is cleared for surgery.

Max is a senior sweetheart. His soulful eyes tell a story of resilience and hope. Now10 years old, he cherishes every walk and enjoys affection. He loves to pounce on plush squeaky toys and is so cute as he snaps at flying bugs and zooms around the yard. He has also been dreaming of his fur-ever home.

Max is a shelter dog in foster care and the shelter does not have the funds to provide for his dental care. He already faces challenges to being adopted simply be being a large senior dog. Your generosity will improve his health and increase his chances of being adopted.
