Max is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Havelock , NC, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.

We rescued Max from a local animal shelter after he and his entire litter were turned in because they were not full bred. He was 3 months old when we met him and just fell in love. He is a mixed breed of chocolate lab and shepherd. He is gentle, walks himself with his leash and loves to play. He is the most laid back of all of our rescues.

Max sustained a torn ACL before Christmas 2024. We received a referral for the Vet Specialty Hospital from Max's local vet and after the initial consult, Max had TPLO surgery in March 2025. He is approximately 15 weeks into recovery and has torn his other ACL and needs another TPLO procedure. He loves to play and catch balls and is just very active.

Max loves jumping up and catching balls and other toys thrown by his humans. He is also very playful with his 3 siblings. He tried to referee when the others play rough and barks his concerns loudly!

With this sudden unexpected additional expense of another TPLO procedure, we are in need of help in trying to get Max healthy again. We understand not everyone can help. THANK YOU!
