Max is a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Leland, NC, who needs $2,000 for CCL Surgery.

We got Max from the animal shelter. We had recently had to put my other dog down and I was completely devastated and so was everyone else. We went to go look at puppies and came across Max. He immediately fit right in with us and became part of the family right away. Since then he has stolen all of our hearts. He is now 5 years old and I can’t imagine not being able to help him. He is my baby.

Max recently started limping. At first we thought he just needed rest so we crated him and kept him from playing. We were finally able to get him to the vet and found out he has a ruptured acl. He is currently on pain medication and anti-inflammatory medication. The surgery is $4,000

Max is a big good ball. He is the most loving dog and is amazing with the kids. He loves to snuggle and sleeps under the blanket. He is my heart. I look forward to coming home and seeing him waiting and wagging his tail and his big head in the window. We are his whole world and he is absolutely ours.

My husband is the only one currently working and we are on a tight income with the kids. My one son is autistic so I have stayed home with him until he gets ready to start kindergarten and has a some what normal schedule come august.
