Max is a 10-year-old Pitbullmix Dog in New York, NY, who needs $2,000 for parathyroid glands.

Max was dropped off in my house by my husbands uncle one day while i was at work, when i came home i was surprised and was not sure at the time if i was going to keep him because i already had a dog whom i lost 3yrs ago due illness. I decided to keep Max because i got attached to him while hand feeding him, he was only a month old. We named him Max because we knew he was going to be a big dog .

Max sleeps in any room he chooses to sleep in although he has his own bed which he mostly sleeps in, we always have to cover him at night, he loves to be tugged in. He is very attached to the family especially me. He loves camping and hiking. Most of the time he is never alone due to a little separation anxiety. He gets treated like a human being. He loves the hugs and rubs from all of us.

He does well with most dogs when getting introduced in the house, He was attacked while being in the dog park so now he just feels safe at home. He is very protective with us. His favorite treats is banana's, peanut butter, broccoli and many other vegetables. Max makes us laugh every time he gets a new toy. Max is the love of our life. He loves to cuddle all day. We feel he was meant to be ours.

Max has been diagnosed with parathyroid glands and is in need of surgery which is more than i thought it would be.His surgery was scheduled for April 28th which i had to reschedule due to not enough funds. He will be having his surgery at BluePearl Veterinary Partners-Brooklyn on May 12 now.

I am the only one working at home, my husband lost his job and my two daughters have been trying to look for work. I have been reaching out to other family members and social media.. Max means the world to us, he is my baby
