Max is a 1-year-old Maltipoo in San Bernardino, CA, who needs $2,000 for surgery for a broken leg.

I got Max when he was 8 weeks. We have another dog which is Max's sister Saddie. They will be 1 year old on 10-13-21. We chose Max's name because that's the name of the grinch's dog. We love the grinch movie and also my dogs give me comfort after the loss of my 2 sons. To my family and I they mean everything to us. We love our pets. I'm a Mom dog!

Max is a calm doggie. He's like a baby; he loves attention loves to be held. He loves to go everywhere with us. He's also our protector. He will climb on our leg and that's how we know he wants us to pick him up. Max loves to be in the stroller, he really doesn't like to walk. He's spoiled and we love him. Max is good with my daughters, who are 9 & 10.

I'm asking for financial help because recently I was in the hospital with Covid and thank god I made it home with oxygen machine only, so my husband and I are not working because he had to stay home and take care of me. I don't want to see Max in pain. Thank you.

So on 10-2-21 Max's leg was accidentally smashed by a door. We rushed him to VCA Animal North Hospital in San Bernardino where they did x-rays and found out his leg was broken in half. We were heartbroken my poor Max was in pain. My heart was broken. I felt his pain. They put a splint for now and today they called and said he needs surgery. We can't afford this at this time.

Max loves his sister Saddie, he loves to play with her all day long. He also loves to sit on our couch in the family room. He doesn't like to be alone. I'm telling you he's spoiled. He makes us laugh because he has such a tiny bark. He acts like he's brave but at the same time he's a chicken. We really love our Max and need help with his medical bill. Anything is really appreciated.
