About this campaign

My cat Max came into my life when I adopted him from an organization called Resquecats. He was just a kitten. He is a Tuxedo cat and I was automatically gravitated towards him. He was skittish at first, but grew to be a real love bug. I got a divorce and found myself homeless when Max was eight years old. I shipped him to my cousin in Washington. I was just able to get him back six months ago.

Max likes to sleep on the bed with me. He is a real love bug and loves his belly scratched. He has a white belly with pretty pink skin. Max also likes to lay on my chest and have me scratch him underneath his chin. He can let me do this for hours. He also likes to wake me up early in the morning and get fed.

Max is a real talker and I love having "conversations " with him where I meow back to him. We can go on back and forth like this for hours. Even though he is older now, he still tears around like a kitten at times. We also like to box together. I take out my hand and grab his head and gently hold. He bats back at me.

Max has kidney disease and hyperthyroidism. I have tried pills to treat his hyperthyroidism but the exacerbate his kidney disease. His vet is Adobe Pet Hospital in Barbara and Dr. Haskell recommended Max to get an ultrasound of his kidneys to see if he has cysts on them. This will further determine how we treat his kidney disease. I am on a fixed income and spend all my extra money on special cat food and cat medicine for Max. Max means more than the world to me and to have him healthy would be a godsend.
