Max is a 10-year-old Dachshund/Terrier/Poodle mix in Surrey, BC, who needs $1,800 for arthroscopic elbow surgery.

I got Max when he was just a baby (5 weeks) the size of a teacup. It was at a time in my life when I was healing from a vehicle accident. He made all the difference and helped me heal. He used to follow us..well like a puppy dog...he did not even need a leash. He got his first girlfriend named Seidi at just a few months old and they are great friends. Max knows lots of tricks he can speak, fetch, give a high five, high ten, kisses on demand, and he even does this swivel jumps on his hind leg that is super cute. He has a huge heart and once saved his girlfriend Seidi from a Rottweiler who had a drunk owner. In his senior years he enjoys being top dog and he often referee’s at the dog park if the dogs get rowdy. Max means the world to our family and it pains me to see him suffer. I want nothing more than to do the best for my dog.
