Maximus is a 3-year-old English Mastiff in Westerville , OH, who needs $1,600 for X-rays

Meet Maximus he is not only my best friend but my true soul mate in K9 form. I bought Max in December of 2017 when he was just a puppy ( His birthday is 10-02- 17 ). We celebrate it together with Graeter’s puppy treats every year. My youngest son now 19 was struggling with depression his junior year of high school so I decided to add Max to our family for my sons birthday in December.

Maximus is a once in a lifetime K9 family member, each day before work he kisses me goodbye and greets at the door as soon as I get home. Nightly he sleeps at the foot of my bed in his large plush bed and snores so loud I tell him I’m going to buy him nose strips one day. He is not only my best friend and companion but partners in crime with our 10 year old boxer. They’re birds of a feather.

I spent my last to take him to an emergency call and will sell my kidneys to save him. I left work early today as I can’t stop crying and the vet hasn’t ruled out cancer but I need to have imaging done. I can’t continue to see him helpless and I can’t say goodbye.

I’m not sure what exactly is wrong with Maximus up until this past Friday August 7 he was his normal self . He woke up Saturday morning with a limp. I took to the vet and we are still not sure exactly what is wrong but he looks at me so helpless . His heart rate is elevated from the pain and can’t get up or down without assistance. I’m feeding him popsicles as he doesn’t even want to get up

Maximus is a character he will jump up from anywhere when he hears the ice test just to get a piece of ice. If your not paying attention to him he will sit I front of you and throw his paw up onto your lap forcing you to hold his hand (literally). If he can’t sleep in the middle of the night he will come to the side of my bed and lay his head right on top of mine and tell like a yetti to wake me
