About this campaign
I got Maxx in 2010 in Wisconsin where we arrived originally from. Once I moved to Texas he made the road trip with me. I have had him since about 9 weeks old. He is very affectionate and loves kissing strangers. He lives with me. My wife and our 11 year old son. He is truly apart of our family and even our extended family love him.
Maxx and I walk daily and have a weekly goal of 10 miles. He loves car rides but tends to want to sleep on the sofa instead of his bed. Always willing to finish a cheeseburger or two. He is a mild mannered pal. He also loves bath time. He has a self imposed bed rime of 830pm every night. Once it reaches that time he sneaks away to find someone's bed or a closet.
Maxx will sneak into the bed with our son sometimes. He does not enjoy fireworks or thundering rain. On those days he sneaks into the closet and tries to get some sleep. He rolls around on his back in the grass when he is playing I'm the yard. People often ask why is he so well mannered. He has basically grown up with my Son and I have been socializing hime since I got him, so he loves people
He recently ingested something and it's stuck in his throat. It's making it hard to breathe and he will only breathe through his mouth. We did x-rays and blood work yesterday and we spent almost $900. The vet seems to think the next step is surgery to remove any obstruction. We just don't have money to afford this. He I'd normally a healthy happy dog. But now he can't eat.
We have had an unexpected financial burden with no family savings. My wife recently started working as I was the primary bread winner. If we could get some assistance with Maxx, I'm sure we could be back on our feet.
