Maya is a Siberian Husky puppy in Oklahoma City, OK, who needs $2,000 for severe hip dysplasia.

We got our precious baby, Maya, in April of this year and she has been absolutely amazing! She is so smart, loving, and loves everyone. She gives kisses to everyone that will allow her and just wants our attention all of the time. She has had a lot of medical issues since birth and has had more issues than most puppies, all before 8 months of age.

Maya loves to go on walks in the evening and she KNOWS when it's time for her walk. She loves playing with all the other puppies at the dog parks and used to like to play fetch with her ball in the mornings before we left for work until her hips started bothering her. Now she will only walk short distances for a short time. Her joints are rubbing bone on bone and need surgery to repair.

We have spent over $2500 on her vet bills along with everyday food, treats, toys, etc... since April and are unable to afford a $3000 surgery but I can't stand the thought of her in pain. I am still trying to pay off credit cards for all the expenses she has already had.

Maya has had a lot of health issues since we got her. First was worms and parasites that took two rounds of meds to get rid of them. Then she had a seizure and had to be rushed to the emergency vet. Then she broke out in a rash all over her stomach that also needed two different rounds of meds. She then had an abscess on her foot that needed meds, and now this, surgery on her hip, unable to walk well.

She loves to talk! She will say "momma," "walk," "I don't want to," "no no," and "I love you." When we get home she is always at the door waiting on us with a smile on her face and her tail wagging. She loves to play in the water! She will kick all the water out of her water bowl just to lay in it. She is my child and she needs this surgery.
