Maya is a Siberian Husky. She is 2 years and 8 months old. Shes has a little brother that lives with her named Roni. She is taken care of by myself and my wife. We have a backyard and go on long hikes. She loves putting on her pull harness and pulling my wife or I on a skateboard or scooter.

In the evening hours of my birthday 08/18 Maya was outside when a storm rolled into the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. She got spooked and escaped the yard. We were able to locate her within 5 minutes thanks to a gps tracker on her collar. By the time we found her she was hit. We rushed her to Thrive Vet - Hoffman Estates. She survived the night and now needs 1 FHO(Hip) & 2 TPLO(knee) Surgeries

Maya is not your usual dog. She's incredibly smart and knows tons of tricks "Roundabout, bow, 8, bring (insert toy name), Laydown, Speak, etc. She's also incredibly sweet even while in the hospital and in incredible pain she hasn't bit or been dangerous to anyone. EVERYONE she meets instantly loves her. She's my best friend. There is so much more about her that I can't put in a 400 limit

Total cost of all surgeries will be around 30,000 dollars. My wife and I are 26 years old and have both fulltime jobs. Regardless of the success of this campaign we have already made the moves to be able to pay for her, but we are asking for help to limit our exposure.
