Maylee is a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever in Sault Ste Marie, MI, who needs $2,000 for ACL (Cruciate Surgery) .

Maylee was 7m old when she came to live with us. Her previous owners had good intentions but it was just to much. She lived inside a dog kennel most of her life, went from the kennel to the garage. She wasn’t potty trained, didn’t know commands, or even know how to play. She was a broken puppy. This puppy needed some attention and love. Thankfully, her previous owners decided to rehome her.

Maylee has become such a blessing to our family. We needed her just as much she needed us. She is such a loving dog. She loves to cuddle, sleep with her humans at night and follow us wherever we go. She has come so far. She loves the water, play fetch and car rides. She goes everywhere with us. She has come such a long way from depressed doggy to a happy, bubbly amazing dog.

This year, my health declined, was put on Medical leave and not able to return yet. My family has been living on very limited income since. Words don’t express our appreciation for any help she gets for her surgery. She deserves the best life, to play, run & be pain free.

She is very healthy dog but needs to have surgery to fix a cruciate ligament tear. She can longer run without pain, has trouble going up stairs & has to be picked up into the truck. She does get pain medications & supplements but they do very little for her pain. The vet that will doing the surgery is: Sault Animal Hospital.

Maylee has been spoiled with numerous toys and treats. She loves her minty bones and bacon. Her Llama stuff is probably her most favorite toy but she has many she will take out of toy box to play with and leave the mess for mama to clean up, haha! She has brought so much joy and laughter to my family, her silly little things does to get comfortable or the way she sleeps and wow the puppy kisses.
