Mazapan is a 7 month old Mix-Breed in Litchfield , AZ, who needs $1,800 for Pneumonia Treatment.

This handsome boy is Mazapan named after a hispanic treat. He is a rescue that I adopted out of the shelter he is my first ever rescue and even though I have only been with him for 5 days he is the most cuddly and sweetest dog I have ever met.

Two days of him being home he fell extremely ill didn’t want to stand sit or eat and began wheezing and vomiting. I rushed him to the hospital and told me he had severe aspirated pneumonia due to his neuter that he had 3 days prior to me adopting him. He was immediately hospitalized as I stepped foot into the hospital and was told how severe he was. His lung were filled with mucus.

Despite this cutie being in a shelter, undergoing surgery, being adopted and brought into a new environment and falling extremely ill and only being 7 month he continues to try to be a happy puppy even in the hospital feeling his worst he still gave everyone a tail wag even if it was a little one and still tries to have a burst of energy even though he has cough attacks that occur often for him.

This was an unexpected medical cost that I didn’t think would happen in the matter of having him for two days. I am having to go into debt since I unfortunately only make enough for rent, bills and groceries. He’s still isn’t in the clear and there are more vet visits.
