Mazie is a 5-year-old Siamese Cat in Alamo, TN, who needs $640 for Hernia Repair Surgery.

Maddie: “Mazie came into my life when she was 5 weeks old while my daddy was deployed overseas. I found her searching for food on our back porch. She has been with us for about 5 years. We also have a blue-eyed Himalayan/Siamese mix who was rescued from under a lawnmower. My 2 little sisters and I chose Mazie’s name.”

Mazie has become nothing short of a therapy pet to our autistic daughter, Maddie.. She says, “She likes to be under my bed. She will become very clingy if you pick her up and take her outside. She meows whenever she wants attention or the necessities. Mazie loves to play with her cat tree and toys. She’ll run around and play with hair ties or anything small on the ground.”

The following is written by out autistic daughter: Mazie is a loving and caring, energetic yet calm. beautiful, blue eyed Siamese. She is the definition of amazing and beauty. She has a hyper personality and several similarities in personality to me. Mazie can be very curious at times. She is wild and likes to live life on the edge but she is also very cautious. I love everything about her.

Mazie was caught in a scuffle with a dog causing abdominal bruising and leading to a hernia that requires emergency surgery. While we know that we are unable to afford the surgery our hearts understand the importance of the relationship that has developed between her and our autistic daughter-it is truly inspiring to witness! She allows Mazie to comfort her during times her autism wont let us.

Due to an infection that led to sepsis, we have had several unexpected hospital bills which have depleted our emergency fund. Our daughter now just keeps repeating “I hope Mazie is okay…”
