Mazie is from a litter of six kittens, five orange tabby’s, and her a calico. Also the runt. She was born in clearfield, which is where I was couch surfing at the time, now we live in my apartment in downtown Salt Lake City.

On May 25th, my 11-month-old cat accidentally swallowed a piece of plastic, and it is still lodged in her throat. I took her to MedVet, and they confirmed that she needs immediate medical attention but the cost of everything is $1,086.02 an amount I unfortunately cannot afford right now. She’s in visible discomfort, and it’s been so painful watching her suffer while I feel helpless.

Mazie is the first cat that I’ve heard with a soft meow. It’s more of a purr. She loves to play with her whip toy, and toss around her balls. Her favorite thing to do is chase the birds.Every morning she wakes me up to open the blinds so she can run along the window seal and see the birds.

I’ve applied to multiple financial assistance programs and care credit services, but I was not approved. I’m doing everything I can to raise the funds. I’m working part time as a housekeeper, but it’s rent.
