Meara is a 9 Year Old Giant Schnauzer in Nitro, WV, Who Needs $1,300 for Excision of Mass.

Meara showed up one day. She was matted, skinny and scared. I fed and bathed her and then took her to the shelter to look for a microchip. ( there was not one). She was extremely scared all the time and the believed she had been abused. It took alot of work to get her to trust me.-we worked with an aggression behavior specialist & worked at home. That was almost 9 years ago and we are inseparable.

Meara went in for her wellness visit 2 weeks ago at Ayers Veterinary hospital and they discovered a small mass in the inside of the right ear. I have been watching it and sending pictures to the office. It has started to change appearance and is bleeding. Her vet, Dr. Metz is very worried about it and says that it needs to be surgically removed soon.

Meara is my best friend. We are inseparable. She goes everywhere with me. She does not like being left alone and I don’t like leaving her. Because of her past abuse, she is extemely suspicious of people but she absolutely loves my sister. If we are outside and I tell her that Kelly is coming,she will sit down, look at the top of the road a&refuse to move. She is so loving and gentle with me.

I have a lot of health problems and am on alot of meds which take a substantial amount of my monthly income. Meara does have insurance but there is a $500 and 20% coinsurance. Unfortunately the animal hospital will not bill her insurance, I have to pay the entire amount .
