About this campaign

Meatball is my best friend and means the absolute world to me. I first crossed paths with him when I was working at an Animal Shelter. He was found on the streets, terrified, underweight, and suffering from skin issues. I adopted him in 2020, he has struggled with allergies, but to me he is perfect. I am an unemployed college student getting ready to move to Texas for grad school.

Meatball has a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) and hip dysplasia. In other words the ligaments that cross to form an X inside of his knee joint are ruptured and are no longer able to prevent the tibia from slipping forward out from under the femur. This injury causes substantial pain, inflammation, swelling, and difficulty walking/standing etc., Erickson Vet Hospital is treating him

He is goofy, playful, gentle, & loving. These qualities quickly captured my heart. The day I brought him home, he made it his mission to make our senior cat his best friend. He is my best friend and my favorite person. He always puts a smile on everyone's face and has given me unconditional love since the first day I met him. There is nothing I value and love more in my life, than him.

I am a recent college graduate, preparing for a cross country move to pursue my dream of grad school. I have no emergency fund or pet insurance to help pay for this. I have maxed out my available credit cards just to find out he needs TPLO surgery.
