Meatball's story is truly a tale of love triumphing over evil! He was rescued by NYC Second Chance Rescue from a life of abuse and dog fighting. His ears were ripped and infected, his body was covered in bite punctures, and there was a knife wound on his head.

Despite his horrible past, he has so much love to give and quickly won over the hearts of the veterinary staff who cared for him. He was even adopted by one of the veterinarians who treated Meatball's injuries!

Meatball was hospitalized at Animal Medicine and Surgery of Little Neck and received daily wound care, antibiotics, and pain management medication. He also underwent surgery to remove necrotic tissue and close his wounds.

Meatball's journey from a terrified dog fighting victim to a miraculous recovery and life full of love and happiness, shows NYC Second Chance Rescue's amazing work. While Meatball is now living his best life, his extensive veterinary treatment still needs to be covered.
